simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Third Virial Coefficient for Air-Water Vapor Mixtures*
The third interaction virial coefficient Caww for a ir-water vapor mixtures is estimated in the temperature range 0 to 100 °C, by means of an approximate method based on molec ular assoc iation . The res ult s are believed accurate to within a fac tor of two. The value of CawlV can be combined with prev ious es timates of the other interaction coefficient C",m and the values of the third virial...
متن کاملNumerical Study of Spherical Vapor Layer Growth Due to Contact of a Hot Object and Water
Vapor film formation and growth due to contact of a hot body and other liquids arise in some industrial applications including nuclear fuel rods, foundry and production of paper. The possibility of a steam explosion remains in most of these cases which could result in injuries and financial damage. Due to the importance of such phenomenon, this study deals with vapor layer forming, growth, and ...

It was found that all of t he fi bers had a relatiYely low capa city for the adsorption of nitrogen as compared with t h c capacity for t h e adsorption of ,,'ater vapor. T he surface area values ranged from 0,31 sq uare meter per gram for nylon to 0.98 square meter ...
متن کاملQSPR Studies on Vapor Pressure, Aqueous Solubility, and the Prediction of Water-Air Partition Coefficients
The vapor pressures and the aqueous solubilities of 411 compounds with a large structural diversity were investigated using a quantitative structure-property relationship (QSPR) approach. A five-descriptor equation with the squared correlation coefficient (R2) of 0.949 for vapor pressure and a six-descriptor equation with R2 of 0.879 for aqueous solubility were obtained. All descriptors were de...
